The Richter Optica MDS1-D digital middle school microscope is a full size microscope that was designed for middle school kids. This middle school microscope has been built with solid all-metal construction, an enamel finish and glass optics. The MDS1-D microscope is a step above the beginner microscope with higher quality optics. The 3 megapixel eyepiece camera connects directly to the USB port on the computer. View live images and capture both still and moving images with the included software. This microscope provides both coarse and fine focusing in order to make it easier to view a clear image at higher magnifications. The LED light provides efficient and cool illumination that will not harm specimens. The microscope operates either plugged into the recharger or on batteries.
